The Eagle – an ancient roman film

Marcus Aquila is a young centurion arrives from Rome. Set in 140 AD, he comes to restore the reputation of his father and solve the mystery. His father is the commander of the ninth. 20 years after the unexplained disappearance of the entire Ninth Legion, Marcus sets out across Hadrian’s Wall into the uncharted highlands of Caledonia, in the mountains of Scotland. He did it to confront the savage tribes. Also for make peace with his father’s memory. He is retrieve the lost legion’s golden emblem accompanied only with Esca (Jamie Bell), his British Slave. The lost legion’s golden emblem is called “The Eagle of the Ninth”.
Aquila and Esca encounter Guern after several weeks of tripping through the northern wilderness. Guern is one of the survivors of the Ninth Legion. Guern told that all of deserters were killed in, except a small number. Deserters were killed in an ambush by the northern tribes including Esca’s Brigantes. The Seal People is the most vicious of the tribes. They took away the eagle standard. Esca Identifying as a chieftain’s son fleeing Roman rule. She is claiming Aquila as his slave. She lets Aquila mistreat by the Seal People. Eventually, Esca reveals that his action helps his master to retrieve the eagle.
